Are any of Tom’s old song books available; for example his book of songs with guitar chords and tablature?
Just released is a companion song book to go with his latest CD, Comedians & Angels. Most of his earlier books are out of print; others are being brought back into circulation. The Authentic Guitar Style Of Tom Paxton has twelve songs which reproduces exactly the way Tom plays them. It will be available again soon on the web site.

How has he stayed married for 45 years?
Tom says he “married up.” Clearly, when he married Midge, he married the right person.

Does Tom ever perform for private events?
Yes, he does––for special occasions and particularly to support causes close to his heart; for example Hill & Knowlton’s memorial to the NYC firefighters, Michael J. Fox’s Parkinson’s Disease Foundation and various others.

Good news! They are all now available from this web site. They are: Ramblin’ Boy
(1964); Ain’t That News? (1965); Outward Bound ( 1966); Morning Again (1967); The Things I Notice Now (1968); Tom Paxton 6 (1969); The Compleat Tom Paxton (1970) is not yet available.

I know there is a Martin Tom Paxton signature guitar. Is that what he’s playing?
Yes, it is. Tom plays the HD40-LSH guitar made for him by Martin. On it he is using Martin FX flexible core phosphor bronze medium gauge strings. He uses John Pearce flat and thumb picks.
