Tom Paxton Live in the U.K. - Tom Paxton (CD)
Released: 2005
2006 Grammy®-nominated CD!

In October 2003, Tom toured the UK for the 39th time. The audiences were plentiful and enthusiastic, open to new songs and excited about old favorites. At this point, it's almost like Tom is an old friend, returning to reassure fans young and old that his brand of folk music, relevant songwriting and classic anthems, is alive and well. Each concert was recorded direct to mini-disc, simply as documentation, with no thought of a CD. This is not a pre-meditated live concert recording, with a separate audio feed on to multi-track recording equipment, carefully edited and mixed for perfection. Instead, it is a souvenir, direct from the board, of the culmination of those wonderful evenings. There was no special mixing, editing or voodoo-just Tom's magic and the humor and thoughtfulness he uses to introduce each song. Cathy Fink and Marcy Marxer were along as Tom's guests - friends and band members, enjoying each show as much as the audience did. In the spirit of that muse, we hope you enjoy this souvenir.
